“As a community worker and Provincial President of British Columbia Seniors group and Vice President at the Federation of Francophone Seniors of Canada, It has been a pleasure working with Bonita Zarrillo . She has demonstrated an interest at all times for our needs and questions related to senior issues. She has advocated on our behalf and needs at all times. We support Bonita for the upcoming elections."

And now in the past hour I heard a radio ad for Gord Johns, my NDP candidate here. I heard one by Kris McNichol CPC before that.
to be clear, Poillievre's rally, if it was indeed in Nanoose Bay rather than Nanaimo proper, would put it in my riding.
The fight is ON in Courtenay-Alberni!
Haven't seen this level of fight since the NDP/Gord Johns took the riding from James Lunney/John Duncan when Trudeau won.

In case you're wondering how the provincial and federal versions of Canadian political parties “line up" together, you can get a good start by seeing who the Premiers of each province endorse, or don't.
Progressive Conservative leaders Doug Ford (ON) and Nova Tim Houston (NS) look to be pretty steadfast -- Poillievre-averse.
Alberta Wildrose Premier Smith and Sask Party Scott Moe are full Poillievre.

New Brunswick and Newfoundland & Labrador have Liberal Premier, presumably in line with Carney's Liberals, but not necessarily.
And that leaves PEI: Their Progressive Conservative Premier resigned a couple months ago, and their new one is.. well, preoccupied. So no endorsements forthcoming for anyone!

Le NPD promis de battre pour des plafonnements des prix sur les produits d'épicerie
[Translation of a translation] "If you're worrying about the high price of groceries, do you think Mark Carney will implement a price ceiling? Do you think Pierre Poilievre will? No, we will fight for a price ceiling to lower the price of your groceries," said Mr. Singh.
« Si vous vous inquiétez du prix élevé des produits d’épicerie, pensez-vous que Mark Carney va instaurer un plafonnement des prix ? Pensez-vous que Pierre Poilievre va instaurer un plafonnement des prix ? Non, nous allons nous battre pour un plafonnement des prix afin de faire baisser le prix de vos produits d’épicerie », a argué M. Singh.

If the national polling we are seeing WERE actually broken down, with large samples, in each of hundreds of ridings, sure, the riding level projections would make sense.
They aren't.
They take national polling numbers, use past election results, and assume the national preferences would thusly affect local results.
