Andrew Clennell (#SkyNews) & Ashley Raper (#TenNews) push the 'hasty generalisation' logical fallacy about #CostOfLiving.
Intent:
- Clennell: Everyone is worse off.
- Raper: Most are worse off.
Albo hits them for six.

How will I know who won without Antony Greene?
My local MP emailed.
I replied.
Hello David
I will not be voting for you.
Because of
Ongoing support of Israel and its genocide.
No action on strengthening environmental laws.
Supporting Salmon farming which is endangering the Maugean Skate.
Failing to reform and increase unemployment benefits, while maintaining the punitive ‘mutual obligation’ regime.
Approving new coal, gas and oil extraction.
Doing too little to address the climate crisis.
AUKUS (I mean seriously? You have to be kidding, right?)
The NACC (What a joke).
Doing too little to improve access to hospitals, gps, mental health services etc.
Failing to recognise that the USA is a risk to our sovereignty, national security and future.
I am sure to have missed something. Oh, wait
Not following through on gambling reform.
So get back to me when you have definite policies and intentions to address even some of these things and I might reconsider the suitability of Labor for government.
No, no. He should keep doing what he's doing. Things are going fine. #canpoli #Election2025 https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/top-conservative-stragegist-poilievre-lose-1.7495524

Should we be concerned about the safety of our federal seniors benefits? You know, CPP, OAS, GIC. What about the new Pharmacare and Dental plans? The 2025 election in Canada could make a difference.

Are Australia and Canada both having an election at the same time and both using #Election2025 as the hashtag? Because that's not confusing at all.

Auspol thoughts
I don't know if my politics come across much on here, but I'm very left, as it were. Not many of the politicians strike me with confidence, but there are some good ones who seem to genuinely care.
I'm also not necessarily on the Lib/Lab are the same train - yeah they are very similar in many ways - but I'm not letting Labor off the hook either. They've clearly moved further right as time goes on.
At this point I have no idea why anyone would vote for LNP. I live rurally in a long-held Nat seat, despite how left-hippy-open-minded this area is considered. I guess that's the farmers or something. But they offer nothing aside from scare tactics, which obviously work on their aging voter base. There is no thought to future generations, only their own careers.
In that regard Labor are broadly the same, some care about people, but they love to play politics. They also seem to suffer from a fence-sitting position on a lot of things, where while trying to appease both sides end up with a half-hearted middle ground option that helps no-one.
Australia has an amazing election system; the idea that you can for anyone and it will be counted is fantastic. I can't think of anywhere else that's like that.
I encourage everyone to look away from the main two parties this election - see who else is on your ballot. You can vote for smaller parties, independents, even standing at the back looking stupid. There is no need to put either LNP or Labor 1 or 2, or even anywhere at all.
Give the others a chance, and remember it's not just about the good of the country here and abroad, it's also what a local member can do for your area. Our member does nothing but complain about the opposition (ironic considering he wins each time) and doesn't help when it comes to major natural disasters.
Look into who's running and see if anyone resonates with you. I'm sure there'll be at least a few.
#auspol #australia #election2025 (sorry Canada for that last one, bad timing!)

Time will tell how true this is. I not real happy, could have done a few more, really beneficialoves, but overall good, given the amount of debt and structural problems inherited from 10 years of damage bt #LyingNastyParasites.

Canadian friends, ignore the polls, vote. Vote early if you can.

And to my Canadian friends, you know the drill: Ignore the polls, vote.
Pierre Poilievre's nonsensical decision not to obtain his security clearance is proving to be a national security issue affecting voter intentions. "The Hogue Commission report had already noted that India interfered in a federal Conservative leadership campaign. Other reputable publications had already noted that this was the 2022 campaign and that the interference targeted Poilievre's thenrival Patrick Brown."

And power prices? I recall one Tony Abbott promising me a$500! Never received
#auspol #election2025 #Politics
It is not #Labor induced cost of living crisis, but from the seeds sown during the last 9 years of #LyingNastyParasites being in power. #Labor inherited almost 1 trillion debt which has been reduced a lot by their management.
#FuelExcise cut for 12 months? Sounds good, but is not solving the structural problems or ensuring a better future.
The #Nuclear power proposal will take decades to come and double energy prices. And be an enormous burden on our economy. And where is the water coming from? There isn't enough.
