I used to love using LocalWP to build websites locally, but now I'm in need of a replacement. Over the past few years, LocalWP has become much more difficult to get running properly on Linux. You can install it on Debian-based and Fedora machines, but you have to fix dependency issues. Fixing the issues isn't difficult but if you're new to LocalWP or new to Linux, you would have no idea how to accomplish this. And Local won't even install on openSUSE, no matter how much you try (I've tried a lot). I posted about these issues in the LocalWP forum and one of the developers told me that Windows and Mac are much more important to them right now and they just don't have the time to fix the Linux issues. When I asked if I could build a Flatpak, Snap or Appimage, they told me that the software is proprietary and they will have to be the ones to do this....When they have time.
If you're not going to support Linux, or allow someone in the community to work on a fix, then I'm not going to use your software. Period.
