When I was getting punched in the face during the nineties, my anxiety would often vanish simply because my “enemy” wasn’t in the room with me when I got home. Today, kids get beaten up or humiliated and are sent a video afterward, posted for the whole world to see.

SharanAdolescence: Healthy dose of fear for better parentingI watched a show called Adolescence. It made me want to puke and hug my child at the same time, preferably not to puke on her

#ThoseAboutToDie an unbelievably dull, turgid brain-fog of a show - on #JeffBozos' #Amazon (not) #Prime - with CGI that looks like it's been rendered on a #Windows95 machine. Angry young men stomping around sawdust festooned stables waffling on about fixing chariot races. The only remotely interesting thing about this #InCel #CircleJerk #RomanEmpirePorn is all of the 20 something male #MAGAts who have rated it highly on the never-loved-a-girl "basement critic" platform called #RottenTomatoes

Just went to see #TheAltoKnights, an excellent dramatic recreation of the corrupt, anti-immigrant, back-stabbing 20th century foundation of the "shining city on the hill"
Hilarious seeing all the #RottenTomatoes one star "reviews" from the #FoxNews consuming #InCel basement dwellers who (now) hate #DeNiro because he stands up for morality and decency.
(They should have enjoyed this excellent film as it represents the shit-show that their #Führer is taking the country back to)

It's excruciating to watch Adolescence as a parent. Therefore, it's very, very necessary.

Here is my brief take on why Adolescence rocked me to the core. I wish all our children all the best.

Coleman Spilde is right. Essential tv for all: "I’d go as far as to say that "Adolescence" should be required viewing for all teenagers, & certainly a condition of having a phone. If a teen wants to be tapped into the digital echo chamber, they have to know what it can do to them. Goodwill & hope that parents will raise their children correctly aren’t enough when the worlds inside of their phones can undo all of that learning."
