I think the GNOME Project should change its logo. That foot logo is outdated and no longer represents the project.
But I also think the name should be changed—I don't think GNOME represents the project and the DE anymore.

There was a plan to add Wayland compatibility to the Redkite GUI toolkit we develop, but it seems that DAW hosts running on GNU/Linux will still rely on XWayland for a long time. So for now, it's better to focus on something else instead — like adding Vulkan support for the graphics backend.
