Rural Banter in Cork
Tucked away on the serene Sherkin Island in County Cork, I stumbled upon a timeless moment that felt plucked from another era. Two older men, clearly no strangers to the soil beneath them, were deep in conversation.
This photo was taken in 2015 while on a visit to the island. I hope they are still living on the island, chatting away.

On other news, I figured out how to get more detail from my #images for the #cyanotype process I am pursuing. Basically the #CR2 image for the #Canon6d is 14bit so it contains way more than 256 layers of shade. So I have to use #dcraw to convert CR2s to tiff, then open in #gimp and play with the image until it gives me the shade distribution I am looking for... I have to extend the whites so that I can get the most out of the #mikeware formula
This was a #photo I took with a #projector #lens that I adapted to my #canon6d. The real color version is also sort of washed and unfocused but I loved their pose so much that it's one of my favorite photos I've ever taken. I ran into this photo while looking desperately for something meaningful to be my first #cyanotype. I exposed this one for 2 hours while watching "man of steel". So 2hrs @ 1000lumens @8.5"X11" is equivalent to 30min sunlight. It's looking good for the #dlp projector upgrade!
