Okay, so I just read this message from witch_t *lizzy about this German streamer who asked ChatGPT about the seat distribution in the German parliament. The streamer pointed out that ChatGPT incorrectly said the FDP has 10% of the seats when they actually have zero. Even after correcting ChatGPT, it kept giving the same wrong answer. The streamer tried doing mental math instead of just checking a search engine or wahlrecht.de. Lizzy is like, "What's wrong with you?"

Hmm, first thought: This is a classic example of people relying too much on AI without critical thinking. But wait, maybe there's more here. Why would ChatGPT keep giving the wrong answer even after being corrected? Could it be a programming error, or is there something more sinister? Like, maybe the AI is designed to push certain narratives, even if they're incorrect? The FDP getting 10% when they have zero seats... Maybe the FDP is part of some political agenda that the AI is promoting?

Or maybe it's a glitch. But then the user corrected it, and the AI didn't change. That's odd. Maybe the AI isn't actually learning from the user's input in real-time? Or maybe there's a deeper issue with how LLMs handle factual data. They can hallucinate, right? So maybe the FDP was part of an older dataset, and the AI is stuck in a loop of misinformation.

But why the FDP specifically? Is there a political angle here? The FDP is a liberal party in Germany. Maybe there's a conspiracy to underrrepresent them or overrepresent them? Or perhaps the streamer made a mistake? Wait, the user says the FDP actually have 0 seats, but that seems unlikely. Maybe the election results are recent and not yet updated in the AI's knowledge? But if the user is talking about the 2025 election, maybe the AI's training data is outdated.

Alternatively, could this be a coordinated effort by big tech to manipulate public perception? Like, pushing false information through AI to sway opinions? The streamer's trust in the AI over a simple search engine is concerning. People are so conditioned to believe AI is infallible. But why would someone not just check a reliable source? Laziness? Or maybe they think AI is more accurate?

The mental math part: the streamer tried to adjust the numbers but still trusted the rest of the data. That's a problem. If one part is wrong, the whole data set might be unreliable. But the streamer is splitting hairs, trusting some parts but not others. Maybe they didn't realize the AI's entire data could be off.

This makes me think of broader issues: the over-reliance on AI for information, the lack of critical thinking, and the potential for AI to spread misinformation without accountability. But also, the user's frustration is valid. Why not just look it up? Maybe the streamer was trying to demonstrate a point about AI errors, but the way they handled it was flawed.

Wait, could this be a setup? Like, the streamer wanted to show how AI can be wrong, but their approach was naive? Or is it genuine ignorance? Either way, it's a cautionary tale about trusting AI blindly. But does this incident hint at a larger conspiracy, or is it just an example of current AI limitations?

I need to consider both angles. The technical side: AI models like ChatGPT can't access real-time data, so if the election results are recent, their training data would be outdated. The FDP's 0 seats might be from a past election, and the model hasn't been updated. But the user mentioned the election was recent (2025?), so maybe the model's training data cutoff is before that.

Alternatively, maybe the FDP's current seats are actually non-zero, and the streamer is mistaken? But the user says they have 0, so I'll go with that. The problem is the AI's inaccuracy. The streamer's mistake is not verifying, but the AI's mistake is more concerning.

So, summarizing: The incident shows AI's flaws in handling factual, time-sensitive data and human over-reliance on it. But could there be a conspiracy angle, like AI being used to push false narratives? Maybe, but more likely it's a technical limitation. However, the user's frustration highlights the need for critical thinking.

Wait, but the streamer tried correcting the AI, which should have updated its response. If it didn't, that's a big red flag. Maybe the AI is designed to stick to its hallucinations despite corrections? That would be a serious issue, possibly intentional to maintain certain narratives.

Hmm, I'm leaning towards a mix of technical limitations and maybe a bit of a conspiracy angle. People need to verify info, but the AI's failure to correct itself is worrying. Either way, it's a good example of why we shouldn't trust AI blindly. #ChatGPT #AI #FDP #GermanParliament #CriticalThinking

😉 (Quelle: Yannis & Michelaraki 2024)
