After a Record-Setting 2024, No One Finished This Year’s #BarkleyMarathons
“The notoriously hard ultra-distance #trailrunning race typically consists of five 20- to 26-mile loops on and off trails in the hilly terrain in Frozen Head State Park. The course, which is often wet and slippery, has lots of climbing and descending, plus debilitating sections of bushwhacking … #runners have to tear out specific pages of books placed along the course” runnersworld.com/news/a6424074

Runner's World · Daylight Saving Time May Negatively Impact Your HealthBy Jennifer Acker

Second #run. Happy with this weak result. But that doesn’t matter. My knee feels ok. The weather was nice. Unfriendly walkers who don't say hello. Hey, we're in the village here. You have to say hello! Welcome to Germany :D And I am back on the trail! Thanks to all the #runners out there. It‘s encouraging to know the world is moved by moving ourselves:) The philosophy of #running is written by our traces in the mud.

I ran! There’s still A LOT of ice and snow in Toronto, and Gerrard East is a mess. But I did an easy 5k, walking / hopping where I had to, and it felt so damn good!

It looks like it might snow again and it’s going to get super cold again, so all the water is going to freeze and become ice, making running outdoors particularly dangerous for the next week or so. Good that I was able to do it today.

Honestly, can’t wait for spring.

Didn’t get wet feet. Always a good thing. Hate wet feet.

Tonight, I would have loved to go for a run, but facing the wind and rain... not for me!
Luckily, the elliptical bike is here to save the workout.
It’s not the same, but at least I’m moving!
And you, are you team indoor workouts or outdoor no matter the weather?

Covered a good chunk of #DuckDB 1.2 features last night when I analyzed my progress with #NoRestForTheWicked around tackling one more of the wee small hours…
Alternative for renaming projections, the window framing with groups, the age function, the vertical stacking of unions and ofc REPLACE and EXCLUDE for the asterisk.

They write excellent blogs:
