Have really struggled with post nasal drip and coughing from allergies recently. Flonase helped, but I was still struggling quite a bit. Two days ago, on the advice of one of my doctors, I started using Astepro (which I had not before heard of) in addition to Flonase and WOW. It's been a 'nose opening' experience! Obviously check with your medical professional, but I did just want to let others know how much of a difference this has made for me. Costco has great price too. #Allergies #Costco

New England peeps (well, specifically MA I suppose): is it too early for allergies to be starting?
I've been tired, and slightly runny nose, just sort of blah and suddenly it dawned on me maybe this allergy season already starting?

If so, this is so annoying. I was not bothered by allergies at all most of my adult life, then started to maybe in my 40s, but luckily they didn't bother me when I moved to CA, but since I've been back, yuck.
I'm hoping when I return to CA they'll go again, although I won't be living as close to the coast as I was when I was in Santa Cruz.
Ugh.

At the moment the only way it seems I can keep the hay fever at bay is to wear my facemask at all times, but at least that does seem to work!

Finally went to the doctor on Monday for my #chronicCough. He prescribed 5 different meds including an inhaler and a spray. He also ordered x-rays.
Went to see him again today. Happy to say the x-rays look good. No issues there. But he expected that I'd start* feeling better after 2 days on meds.
Nope. No change at all.
So he modified the prescription a bit -- now it's 2 inhalers. I hope I get better soon. I'm so sick of all the coughing.

I asked my doctor for a referral to see an allergist. When she asked why I wanted one, I told her I wanted to be tested in depth for allergies. She asked what specifically I wanted to test for. I said everything. I have 14 allergies (some are generalized, like essential oil. It'd be a higher number if I did each individual kind of essential oil, y'know) and I don't want any more surprise ones.
She told me there were no tests that could be given.
