Disabled people are often broke. We have a higher cost of living, for the most part. We're paid less for the same work, if we're employed. And if we're on aid or getting back the insurance we paid into, we're deeply policed around our incomes.

Unfortunately, orgs that want to means test without actually putting any work or nuance into it, use SNAP as a way to do it. And not every poor disabled person is on SNAP. This should change.

Botanical gardens can be important for mental health so it would be nice if they could offer discounted admission for disabled people who aren't on SNAP. They don't means test families for family admission...
