Pretty glorious morning for a run in Toronto. Started in shorts, short-sleeve and arm warmers and shed the arm warmers about half way in. Really nice, sunny morning for 16km with the boys. https://www.strava.com/activities/14165855772 #Running #Strava #RunTO
Yesterday’s run. Beautiful day for it. 0.20 km of walking after 3.80 km, target pace. #runTO
This is going to be the week that I finally get five runs in again. So far, I’m on track. #runTO
Monday’s run. Horrible weather for it, but I’m glad I got it done. No walking, quick pace. #runTO
The goal this week is just to get back into the habit of doing five per week. Four short runs and a long one on Sunday. So far, so good. #runTO
Too beautiful a day not to get out and do it. No walking, quick pace. #runTO
I didn't do the five runs I'd hoped to do this week, but that's fine. It's been a busy one. I can start again on Tuesday. Looks like it might be a great week for it. #runTO
The goal this week is just to get back into a routine. That means five runs this week, including a long run on Sunday. #runTO
Longest run since May 1, 2022. 26.6km in the freezing cold up to Caledonia and Castlefield. Thankful for good company along the way as that far in -16ºC is no fun solo.
I ran! There’s still A LOT of ice and snow in Toronto, and Gerrard East is a mess. But I did an easy 5k, walking / hopping where I had to, and it felt so damn good!
It looks like it might snow again and it’s going to get super cold again, so all the water is going to freeze and become ice, making running outdoors particularly dangerous for the next week or so. Good that I was able to do it today.
Honestly, can’t wait for spring.
Didn’t get wet feet. Always a good thing. Hate wet feet.
Coyote sighting on my run today. It was supposed to be 11km easy, but I cut it a bit short mostly because time, but also because my knee tendonitis is still an issue.
It's the return of #TeamShorts here this week. I know some never joined #TeamTights this winter, but some of us are also sane. 10km easy at lunch today and the mild weather was a nice treat.
Grabbed some time this afternoon to do another quick one. Two behind, no walking, quick pace. #runTO
Surges. I overdressed and pushed too hard on the runs, but it’s done. One behind, 0.25 km walking after 2.00 km, quick pace. #runTO
Wednesday's run. Chilly but good day for a quick one. Planning to do two more today. One behind, no walking, quick pace. #runTO
Last run of the year. A late morning run around a nice English island. #runTO
Week 1 done. On time, 0.50 km of walking after 6.25 km, adequate pace. A marathon at this pace takes 3:59:38 to run. #runTO
