Martin Mull was a comedian, actor, singer-songwriter and painter. He got his start in television with the 1970s series “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman,” starred as himself in the mockumentary “The History of White People in America,” and made appearances on “The Simpsons,” Arrested Development,” and “The Afterparty." He became known for making audiences laugh throughout his career. “He was never not funny,” his daughter Maggie Mull shared on Instagram after her father’s death this week. Martin Mull was 80.
