Dont @ me - but I have changed back to #lightmode on my mac. This feels strange.

Question for you #webdev peeps:

I've made a site and it's totally in dark mode. How I like it

But some people mentioned that I should offer a light mode toggle because "some people are not used to dark mode and won't like it".

Do you think that's valid?

(Someone else said that there's also potentially an accessibility issue with dark mode - is that true?)

Every single time. Cats knows.

I don't know what it is, but in the past few years I've gone the reverse of everything dark mode to everything light mode or full color mode.

I finally did it for #discord and it looks so strange to me. It looks almost not modern if that makes sense.

Would you #bitwig users appreciate an alternative light theme for the #daw? Ideally one that follows the system setting? I would really like to be able to use Bitwig Studio in bright sunlight and the dark theme is not ideal for such conditions.

If you're using #mattermost and prefer a light #colorscheme I made an adaptation of the excellent #vim-#paper color scheme for Mattermost.

Like all paper-inspired color schemes, it looks disturbing at first, but it's easier on your eyes than black text on white background (or the other way around)

I didn't realize just how much Mastodon's lack of light/dark mode auto-switching was keeping me from switching mode when I want to. It was always such a hassle, because I'd have to go to the appearance setting, change it, save it, then go back to my timeline and refresh, and try to find my place in the feed again. 1/2

When using #gnome Light Style, I've been enabling the Light Shell #extension for quite a while now and have gotten so used to it that Gnome's default dark #shell in conjunction with the Light Style setting just feels broken to me now. ️️
I wish that a light Shell will become the default for Gnome's Light Style with #gnome46. ️
