For Giving in the Netherlands, we've been collecting data on donations of money, goods and services by corporations in the Netherlands for more than two decades. OSFCorporate Giving in the Netherlands Survey (CGINS) Since 1995, the Center for Philanthropic Studies at Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam biennially publishes macro-economic estimates of philanthropy and volunteering by households, foundations, corporations, and lotteries. This ongoing research project is known as the ‘Giving in the Netherlands’ (GIN) research project. In GIN, the Corporate Giving in the Netherlands Survey serves as the main source of data for estimating the volume and nature of giving and socio-sponsoring by Dutch households. A public use file with key variables (2004-2023) is provided below. Please read the User Manual before using the data and cite the dataset properly. If you require variables from the Corporate Giving in the Netherlands Survey not included in the Public Use File, please write to Marlou Ramaekers, the GIN data manager: m.j.m.ramaekers@vu.nl. What is that, a #CSR on #serverless, an #SSR hooked up to a #VPS - or maybe you even manage your own #kubernetes. Daring, aren't we?

For some people, this is all static. But, they know what the #web is. They know that it's where the crawlers live.

When I look at this chart, I think #WebSocial has a ring to it that might project "Other" into the top 5 - maybe even top 3.

Why?

This chart shows the distribution of monthly active users (MAU) across various software platforms that are compatible with Web Social (formerly known as "The Fediverse"). The Fediverse user distribution shows that on the date of March 29th 2025 Mastodon had 71.53%, Pixelfed had 11.90%, Lemmy had 4.11%, and PeerTube had 3.96%, while other platforms like Misskey, Microdotblog, and Writefreely had shares below 1%, and Bridgy-fed and Mobilizon have no recorded users, with 6.73% belonging to other platforms."

Bæredygtighed i Københavnske virksomheder

En opsamling på et pilotprojekt om tendenser og dilemmaer

Ambitionen er at give et overblik over et ellers uoverskueligt landskab af tilgange til bæredygtighed og at lære af de udfordringer, virksomheder oplever. Den viden, der skabes i projektet, skal hjælpe fagfolk og virksomheder med at træffe bedre beslutninger i deres bæredygtighedsarbejde: hvilke tilgange skal vi bruge? Hvilke certifikater skal vi satse på? Hvordan kan vi håndtere dilemmaer andre har stået i? Rapporten formidler de foreløbige resultater af projektet og diskuterer samtidig, hvordan en næste undersøgelse kunne se ud, så der løbende (årligt) bygges oven på den viden, der er skabt for 2024.
Ud fra en analyse af data fra 331 virksomheder og 7 interviews, peger de foreløbige resultater på følgende temaer:

  • Bæredygtighedsrapportering (CSRD / ESG) fylder – Det nye EU-direktiv
    ‘Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive’ (CSRD) og ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) er et dominerende tema hos virksomheder på tværs af brancher. Særligt mindre virksomheder oplever rapporteringskrav som udfordrende og uoverskuelige.
  • Greenhushing vs. Greenwashing – Flere virksomheder, særligt inden for
    mode- og tekstil, oplever dilemmaer i at kommunikere om bæredygtighedstiltag, især med et skærpet fokus på dokumentation af påstande fra forbrugerombudsmanden.
  • Kan bæredygtighed betale sig? Økonomien fylder i overvejelser. På den
    ene side kan bæredygtighed ses som et konkurrenceparameter man kan
    tiltrække kunder på – samtidig kan det virke afskrækkende, hvis et produkt
    koster mere.
  • Dilemmaer om energi-optimering – Inden for den teknisk/industrielle
    branche er der stort fokus på at hjælpe andre med at energi-optimere som
    bæredygtighedstiltag. I det store billede er det dog uklart om optimering
    bidrager til yderligere vækst og energiforbrug.

Z.B. wird damit die Produktionserweiterung von einem Indischen Windradhersteller finanziert. Ohne Zwischenhänder, ohne irgendwelche Börsenspekulanten, das #ÖkoWorld leitet das Geld direkt an den Hersteller:

Einer dieser Fonds ist "ÖkoWorlds Growing Markets 2.0" (A1J0HV), in dem ich auch selber investiert bin. Unglaublich spannend in welche Firmen dort weltweit investiert wird, von denen man im sonst USA und Europa fokusierten Aktienmarkt eher nichts hört.

Das kommt passend zur Meldung, dass der weltweite #Solar Ausbau die Ziele übertroffen hat. Toll, dass ÖkoWorld hier die #Windenergie fördert, die für eine vernünftige Energiewende unerlässlich ist.

Multinational companies have been promising to shrink their carbon footprints for years, and failing to keep those promises. @ProPublica reports on the latest: Nike, which eight years ago committed to doubling its business while halving its impact on the warming planet, and last December, laid off its sustainability team.
