obwohls arschkalt is,: Duftveilchen, Ehrenpreis, Taubnessel und co blühen schon.

Ich weirdo hab vor einigen Tagen Gemüse und Kräuter (Indoor) ausgesät, wieder mal viel zu viel (Einzelkornsaat 150st. , Reihensaat, Breitsaat nicht zählbar.

Teilweise älteres Saatgut, wo ich mir nicht sicher bin ob des noch keimt. (Keimtest nicht gemacht🤷‍♂️ )

So, I'm going to do something different.

To impart some Druid wisdom, each day I'm going to post one of my herbs and medicinal plants cards. I want to spread knowledge to help people and to bring something fun, interesting and positive to timelines.

Today is, Yarrow.

Card says: Yarrow Archillea Millefolium Characteristics: perennial; grows to 3 feet in height; white, pimk, or reddish flowers. Grows alone paths and roadways in open flat areas; common in Europe, Asia, and the United states. Yarrow is used often as a laxative and stomach soother, to treat everything from nausea to indigestion. It contains achilleine, a compound that is useful for shortening mensturation. A hot tea will encourage sweating in those with dry fevers and can ease discomfort of hemorrhoids. A related yarrow, Achillea Lanulosa, is used similarly, but the species may contain alkaloidal poison. In Greek history, Achilles is said to have used yarrow to treat the wounds of warriors.

"The annual seed and spud spectacular, Seedy Saturday, is set to return on Saturday, 8 March, bringing a blooming good time to Timsbury’s #ConygreHall. Gardeners of all levels, from seasoned horticulturists to budding green thumbs, can exchange seeds, gain expert advice, and browse a diverse selection of plants, produce, and eco-friendly goods.

"Now in its 15th year, the community-driven event will take place from 10am to 2pm. At its heart is the #SeedSwap, where visitors can leave home-grown seeds for others while picking up something new to cultivate. This tradition has helped to preserve rare and localised varieties, including #HeritagePeas and the #FarmboroughBean, a unique strain developed through years of careful seed selection.

"In addition to the swap, attendees can browse stalls selling seeds, #potatoes, fruit bushes, #herbs, cottage #perennials, and locally crafted goods. Homemade preserves, plant-based products, and gardening equipment will also be available. Expert talks will provide insight into gardening, seed saving, and #composting, while demonstrations and a children’s craft zone will ensure there is something for everyone. The Kitchen Café will serve tea, coffee, soft drinks, bacon rolls, and homemade cakes.

"Event organiser Sam Ross said: 'This event marks the start of the growing season for #SeedSwappers, amateur gardeners, allotment-holders, horticulturists, and anyone passionate about nature and the environment. It's Friday. Time to party!

In the kitchen, that is, because: forty-something. The days of cycling into town at 11pm to drink watery beer in a dimly lit pub, only to return home by the time the rest of the world got up to go to work, are long behind me. Coocooning and sleeping at 11pm is the new bar-hanging. Yep, very rock 'n roll.

Anyway.
Kitchen. Party.

I made my own pasta. Always a fun thing to do. Served it with home made pesto, a fresh piece of salmon and some spinach, which I gave a nice Italian touch.

In the second photo everything looked neat, but that was short-lived. This was a meal in the category: the messier the better. Stir it up!
