Since I have a #gotosocial server set up, I'm going to move my #bot over to it, and create new ones there, too.
I know how to migrate the existing account to a new server. But I also know it won't copy the posts.
There are some tools to copy them, but the ones I've seen create new ones.
Is there an existing tool that will insert them into the DB with the original timestamps? Since I own the server, may as well.
Or is that a bad idea?
Interessant. (Ich hätte vermutet, daß diejenigen, die die schwarze Kunst heute noch handwerklich pflegen, sich genauso vernetzen, wie Liebhaber/Nerds in anderen Disziplinen. ("Nerds" sehr respektvoll gemeint.) Und ich hätte vermutet, daß du aus deinen Uni-Tätigkeiten die/den eine oder anderen kennst, die/der sowas könnte.)

Hmpf. Mein #Ventilator (Brandson-Standventilator) wirft nun nach 5 Jahren das Handtuch - bzw. das Kugellager. Er wirbelt noch ein wenig Wind, ist aber im Wesentlichen damit beschäftigt, heiß zu laufen. Das ist kontraprodukltivfür einen Ventilator.
Ersatz muss her. Schnell. Und zwar leiser Ersatz, damit das Ding auch während der Nacht laufen kann, ohne dass ich alles Nase lang besorgt Fieber messen muss an dem Gerät. Ich will ja schlafen.

Chapters in A Study in Scarlet (the first Holmes book) are about 15-20K characters. Even in 1,000 character chunks that's 15-20 threaded posts for a chapter.
Do you think just go with it, or split longer chapters over multiple days? So, 8-10 posts in a thread, splitting chapters over 2 days.

Unser Kater kann aufgrund eines Tumors im Maul nur noch püriertes Futter und Schleckpaste zu sich nehmen. Die Schleckpaste funktioniert noch gut, beim pürierten Futter tut er sich auch immer schwerer.
Gibt es hochkonzentrierte Schleckpasten, die sich als Futterersatz eignen? Er braucht sehr viel mehr Kohlenhydrate als normal, aber ich möchte ihm die Nahrungsaufnahme in seinen letzten Wochen so einfach wie möglich machen und er soll satt werden.
Und wo wir grad bei #Apps sind... Kennt wer 'ne App: #OpenSource mit #Widget am besten, welche die aktuelle #Mondphase zeigt?
Die hier hat #FDroid aber die wird mir als inkompatibel gezeigt (außerdem hat die vom Alter wohl noch #Nostradamus selbst gecodet...)

Trying to move my Amazon s3 storage over to Digital Ocean spaces and they really don't make this stuff easy for the DIYer. I migrated the data using Flexify.io but now the s3 compatible information that I'm putting in isn't connecting. Switched it back to Amazon s3, but darn it, I'm trying to get away from that platform because I figured out it was the bandwidth costing me so much.
