Policies that result in the median voter paying more #taxes are difficult. The #democrats need a #policy vision that doesn't raise taxes on the median #voter
Policy ideas
- Tax exemptions/deductions for #WorkerCooperatives and investment in worker #coops
- Special tax exempt status for #WorkerCoops
- Use corporate tax revenue to buy some shares of that company and put those in a trust democratically governed by workers in that company.

I'm curious. Would it be possible for a union to push a company far enough that they could force the owners to sell the company to them, forming a worker cooperative? I'm doubtful they have enough leverage, but it would be awesome to see something like this go down.

How 'bout supporting San Francisco brewery workers at the bankrupt Anchor Brewery attempting to buy it from the evil Sapporo Corporation and run it as a worker co-op?
Anchor is the oldest craft brewery in the U.S., in operation since the 1800s.

We created Get It Right in the fall of 2020, to staff a new secondary school that needed a democratic collective to run it (check out milestonedemocratic.org). We are in our third school year, showing up every day to demonstrate that #TeacherPowered schools, where educators make decisions by consensus and share governance with students and families, can create equity and justice.
