Help me, #gamers of the Fediverse!
I love big, #openWorld games where you travel to lots of places and explore different terrains and people groups — the classic examples being #Bethesda games like the #ElderScrolls (#Oblivion, #Skyrim) and #Fallout.
My only #gaming platform is my #SteamDeck. What other games should I look at that wlll give me this experience? Bonus points if (like Skyrim and unlike Fallout) the worlds are beautiful.
Old games are just fine, BTW.
Is there some kind of like. Mod I can download to make Skyrim. You know. Work.

In which Finds-The-Way discovers the true source of the problems at Kolbjorn Barrow, and is merciful to Ralis Sedarys; tracks down and defeats Ildari Sarothril, and is made a member of House Telvanni by the grateful Neloth; helps a tribe of rieklings defend Thirsk Mead Hall against the Nords they stole it from, and becomes the rieklings' chieftain; witnesses the sacrifice of Storn Crag-Strider; enters Apocrypha to confront Miraak; and finally, returns to Skyrim, where she marries fellow Argonian Shahvee.

The Nedic vampires in Coldharbor as shown in ESO have a pale, veiny skin. Skyrim needs a mod to apply similar effects only to the "vampire lord" vampires. #mentalscraps #mods #skyrim #tes

I'm playing #Skyrim again. Why do I find this game so comforting to explore? Even the glitches bring me joy.
(Don't worry, Frost and I are fine after some emergency reload surgery.)

Hey everyone 
take a listen to another book reading from within the Elder Scrolls world, this time from Skyrim on the topic of the ever-elusive Nightingales 
Unlike the first two reading videos (which were clips taken from recent live streams), today, I decided to see how recording it from scratch would feel. I went through the text of the book itself to weed out various errors, recorded it in a way that minimised recording errors, and then further added a little treatment to clean up the audio
