Need a signature cocktail for Election Day? Try the Alameda Lotus.

I concocted it this summer; it's been my go-to cocktail since Kamala entered the race 😁

1 ½ oz St. George Botanivore gin
¾ oz crème de violette
½ oz Ferrand dry Curaçao
1 oz Meyer lemon juice, freshly squeezed

Shake with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe.

Garnish with thin slice of lotus root tossed in baker’s sugar.

#Murder and other #violent #crime ✅dropped across the U.S. last year, FBI data shows

Crime, including serious violent incidents like murder and rape, dropped nationally from 2022 to 2023, according to new data released by the FBI on Monday.

Violent crime was down about 3% from 2022 to 2023 and property crime took a similar drop of 2.4%, the FBI reported in its annual "Summary of Crime in the Nation."

The most serious crimes went down significantly:
💥Murder and non-negligent manslaughter were down an estimated 11.6%
— the largest single year decline in two decades
— while 💥rape decreased by an estimated 9.4%.

So Fox News and a bunch of other MAGA disinformation merchants are trying to push out the idea that Kamala Harris' remarks last night on the Oprah rally were 'cringe'. They cite as examples the comments about everyone loving America, which were lovely and moving. Guess if it is isn't a hate fest, they aren't into it. Sorry Fox and friends, we've had enough of all this hate and rage. Kamala brings joy and pride in our country. If you can't get on board it's just pitiful and sad.
