#Arum plants start to flower. At the right Arum maculatum + Arum immaculatum (more in alt txt). Birds eat the seeds at the edge of the forest and plant them with their droppings into the gardens.

I have just skimmed the book 'Gathering Moss' by #RobinWallKimmerer (searched something for my moss podcast episode) and am amazed at how much you can take away from moss evolution for today's political situation. Evolution speaks much for diverse, resisting, and adaptive communities.

Well, if I've done it right, you can follow my Bsky-account here on Mastodon: @naturematchcuts.bsky.social - I use it only for my #podcast #NatureMatchCuts and connected topics, and share #nature and #science posts of people who are not in the Fediverse yet. So the content is different. mastodon.online/@naturematchcu Looks still empty but you get the content by following.

My main and beloved channel will remain Mastodon!

"A piglet wrapped in an enormous duvet" - I'm just sitting at the interview with this fascinating person, suddenly she cries Yabba dabba doo! - her species won the Guardian #Invertebrate Of The Year contest! 🎉 "They are gloriously independent animals. They don’t need us half as much as we need them." theguardian.com/commentisfree/
Should I ask her what she thinks about the article?

@jd Of course! If you'd miss it here, I have a newsletter: steadyhq.com/en/naturematchcut - the website: naturematchcuts.net and you can search for NatureMatchCuts in your favourite podcatcher and subscribe.
I had a longer pause and restart at the end of April.
I would be happy if you join in!

Today I work on interviewing a tardigrade. 😁

SteadyNature Match CutsTake the plunge and change perspectives. Reconnecting you with nature. Giving you a sense of belonging in a time of transition.

If super-bullies conquer the headlines with absurd crap, imagine a world without bullies in power.
It's on us to counter their #narratives with how we would like the future to be. It is up to all of us to fight for this future. Not tomorrow but now!
Write *your* plot of humanity and cooperation.

Imagine a #rocket with 36,000 times the earth's gravitational acceleration from zero. It exists since 300 million years, works successfully on air as fuel, and leaves no #spaceDebris behind.
The builders of this rocket will be the stars in my next podcast episode of #NatureMatchCuts (end of April). steadyhq.com/en/naturematchcut

We have not enough rain. I know that without any app. Because always, when the traditional magnolia bloom in northern Alsace, it rains a lot. The splendour often lasts only a few days.
Now we've only had grey, dry days. Wonderful to see the flowers. But bad for the drying soil.
If you connect nature's calendar with "traditional" remembered weather you can see the shift: cronenburg.net/magic/

In France, you can now get reminders for podcast production on health insurance. 🤣
My physiotherapist asks me every week when it's finally going to start again! I'll tell you all: The episode will be released next month.
I told him that he was actually there to relax my muscles and not to cause me stress. 😂 Well, if you have fans ...
Please be patient!

Spring is finally here! These little friends bring their babies to ‘graze’. #Woodlice feed on rotting plant matter, as well as bacteria and fungi on rotting plants. Like gourmets they have very sensitive olfactory receptors to find tasty treats. They are an important part of #soilLife. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porcelli As a child, I was happy about their #trilobite -like look.

Mysterious authors' brains. 🧠 I'm writing a new blog article. My brief: nothing about politics today! We need courage. Then the text takes me by the hand.
I read about a blocked drain and come across tiny seeds. And how is that supposed to become a meaningful text? The text giggles: 'you will see'.

I like it when my texts know more than me. 😁 🤯
