Four years after starting it, I finally finished the original #PhantasyStar.

The last leg of the game was annoying, simply because I kept finding out I was missing some random item, and ended up doing the final dungeon 3 times.

It's a great game overall, and I highly recommend the Sega Ages version. That said, there is some obtuse stuff here and most of the adventure is just finding out what to do. There aren't a lot of choices for the player to make as far as I could tell, so I probably won't replay this one for a while.

So, very rarely will I start to talk about a game on here shortly after playing it.

But today, I started playing Golden Axe Warrior for the #MasterSystem and my word, I am really looking forward to this!

Firstly, what we have here is a game that is so very NES Zelda that I would say anyone who is an old school Zelda fan really needs to check this out!

I am not too far into in, just two dungeons deep, but so far i am really enjoying the offering here. I have a sword and an axe. The axe can be used to cut down trees and find hidden staircases, as well as be used as an upgrade to your basic sword. There are also magical spells that you can learn!

There are so many things to discover as I try to gather the 9 crystals to defeat Death Adder.

Virgin Games' #SEGA #MasterSystem take on Hergé's classic, Tintin on the Moon, nearly made it to the Moon in 1992 but was sadly cancelled. Now after 32 years, lost music & SFX intended for the game by Matt Furniss has been recovered by Games That Weren't.
