@pl Lots of answers to that question, few simple ones. github.com/Mic92/nix-fast-buil might help, via it's usage of github.com/nix-community/nix-e. Readme explains it quite well: it evals in multiple threads, kills them upon excessive memory usage and then builds in parallel.
