Hi folks!
Time for an #introduction as part of setting things up here.
A few years back when #friends were visiting we started yet again recommending all the #awesome #vegan #discoveries we made.
During the conversation the idea of a #website inspired by the awesome lists movement came up and shortly after started with the motivation to make it a #community driven project where everyone can #contribute.
Accounts on commercial social media existed already and now it is time to bring this to Mastodon and the Fediverse.
@awesome What a great resource, all the more so now search engines are becoming unusable!!
Do you accept personal websites or only businesses? (I've got an archive of vegan book reviews and badly-photographed recipes on my ko-fi )
@StephanieJane Anything that helps to show how awesome veganism is can be added. We can also add more categories to make everything fit.
@awesome Wonderful! I'll get on with it
@awesome I think I've just put two suggestions across to you. GitHub is all new to me so I will wait for news before adding other websites that I love - just in case I'm breaking stuff
@StephanieJane Great! Creating issues is also a good way to contribute, even though it still needs someone to pick it up. With enough information, like a clear title, link, and a nice description it can serve as an easy task for anyone who's already familiar with the technical side of it. As a side effect it might even give others insights into the steps to do this. It's hard to break anything by the way, since there's always a review and merge step involved before anything goes live.
