Tuulia𝙷𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚢 𝙴𝚊𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚠𝚎𝚎𝚔𝚎𝚗𝚍! 🐣<br> <br> I’m spending the holiday with family, and hopefully getting some reading in too. I picked theee books to take with me: one in Finnish, one in English and one I’ve received for review. I’ll more than likely end up reading something completely different from my e-reader…<br> <br> Hope toy have a good weekend! Will you be reading? Law Geek<p>Weekend reading! Going into the long weekend with The Screaming Staircase by Jonathan Stroud. I'm 25% in &amp; enjoying it so far. Next up is The Confectioner’s Guild by Claire Luana. I got it free &amp; I'm hoping I like it enough to buy the boxset. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/weekendreading" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>weekendreading</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/amreading" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>amreading</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/books" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>books</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/bookstodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bookstodon</span></a></p>
Claudia KP<p>Just finished 'East of Eden' by John Steinbeck. I don't think I've ever highlighted so many beautiful passages in a novel before. Definitely worth reading, especially in these troubled times.</p><p>I knew the film, but that only dealt with a fraction of the whole story (and, annoyingly, it left out one of the most important characters!)</p><p>What's it about, you ask? This quote sums it up nicely:</p><p>"I believe that there is one story in the world, and only one. . . . Humans are caught—in their lives, in their thoughts, in their hungers and ambitions, in their avarice and cruelty, and in their kindness and generosity too—in a net of good and evil. . . . There is no other story."</p><p>Have a good weekend, and happy reading.</p><p><a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Books" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Books</span></a><br><a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Steinbeck" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Steinbeck</span></a><br><a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/WeekendVibes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WeekendVibes</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/WeekendReading" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WeekendReading</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/GreatBooks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GreatBooks</span></a></p>

Law Geek<p>Weekend reading! Tbh, I've been really disappointed by This is your brain on music. The first 100 pages were a tedious slog through endless musical terms. Law Geek<p>Weekend reading! I'm loving The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst at 2/3 in. Just the kind of relaxing read I need.
