This past week's storms may have not brought the predicted dramatic lightning show, but they did drop enough rain to keep the river running high and prompt the trees to push out some buds. So I'm out grabbing some sunny nature break time before the next deluge.
Winter sunlight is such dramatic lighting, innit? Today's nature break at the favorite accessible riverside hang.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed by a variety of crises real-world, online, and otherwise, I realize it's time once again to go look at nature, drink coffee, and contemplate.
Savoring this nature errand to my favorite accessible riverside hang, but feeling a little guilty for leaving cat-friend sequestered in the bathroom. I haven't figured out yet how to manage getting into/out of my apartment with the walker, always a slow process, without giving the curious Mr Swayze ample opportunity to slip out. Working on solutions to that! 
I'm going to start calling these breaks I take at local parks nature errands, because they're really as needful for my wellbeing as grocery pickups and doctor's appointments.
