One more #PeeWeeHerman story: When I was in high school, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure was not an old movie. Also, I was a cheerleader all four years (not one of the popular kids mind you, but we didn't have a dance team). Our pep band decided to play "Tequila" at basketball games. Since I came up with most of the routines for the pep band songs, I made the whole squad (all "popular" girls + me) stand at half court and do The Dance. It's among my finest moments. #RIPPaulReubens #RIPPeeWee

This is my take on Miss Yvonne, The Most Beautiful Woman in Puppetland, and the Puppetland Band.

This is one of my proudest works, because, after a lot of different sketches, I really communicated what I saw in my mind and felt in my heart.

I sent a poster of this to #LynneMarieStewart, who plays Miss Yvonne, and she sent me a very sweet note!

#PaulReubens, the actor & comedian who created & portrayed the character #PeeWeeHerman, who became a fixture of children’s TV & movies w/his red bow tie & impish antics, died July 30 at a hospital in Los Angeles. He was 70.

A longtime publicist, Kelly Bush Novak, confirmed his death & said the cause was cancer.

Paul Reubens, best known for portraying Pee-wee Herman, has died at age 70, according to posts on his social-media accounts. “Paul bravely and privately fought cancer for years with his trademark tenacity and wit," the Instagram caption said.
