She phoned #Lyft that night looking for answers. In that initial call they told her this was something Lyft was piloting. A week later she received a message from a member of the company which blamed it on the driver for recording her without her consent and said "proper actions" were taken against the driver.
The phone number that texted her the chat belongs to #Lyft, not the driver.

This incident is very creepy and there is very little information to go on about how this woman was texted a transcript of her conversation with her friends while riding in a Lyft vehicle. #Trimet is on a quest to ruin even more bus lines. Ridership is fed up! Perhaps if you did more about the reason ridership is down instead of destroying routes your existing ridership relies upon, you wouldn't be in this fix. People still don't feel safe and comfortable so people are driving or sharing rides like #Uber #Lyft Changing/ ruining our treasured routes won't bring them back. Lyft appears to have updated its app for airport pickups, where you don't match with a driver until your phone's GPS matches the pickup spot.
Clever, except airport pickup spots are often under layers of concrete, and the app has no manual override to say I'm actually here.
I spent 30 minutes walking across multiple lanes of traffic trying to get my phone's reported GPS location into the zone on the map.
