Just spent 10 minutes trying to remember this guy's name.
"This guy" being Jake Xerxes Fussell, one of the most interesting musicians in the folk-ish/Americana-ish/fingerpicking space. I've been a fan for a while now! Amazing how your brain can just go black like that.
Lots of trad tunes but done in a very thoughtful, subtle, inimitable way. If you like Sam Amidon and you don't know Fussell, check him out for sure.
This whole album is exceptional and perfect for a Sunday night.
