Had it recorded for a while but finally got around to watching Dune: Part Two this evening. Enjoyable, looks spectacular of course. Still never read the books.

My main criticism of something like this movie, though, especially given it's part two and the overall running time now, is that I don't think it's got the re-watchability of the 1984 David Lynch version. It didn't even have a cameo of Sting in his underpants in it.

Someone (I won't say who 🤫) is called "Mahdi" by others on #DunePartTwo. I believe it's Arabic for the guided one or the deliverer. Interestingly, that is one of the names of Alexander Siddiq (who portrays Dr Julian Bashir on #StarTrekDSN). Siddiq's full name is Siddig El Tahir El Fadil El Siddig Abdurrahman Mohammed Ahmed Abdel Karim El Mahdi.

#DunePartTwo is a lot of #movie, in a very good way, and the most visceral sonic experience I've had since I saw #Inception, also in #IMAX (it has a super-low bass you can't hear or feel without a decent #audio setup), at #UdvarHazy in 2011.

Great story and beautiful cinematography (like #DunePartOne) combined with full IMAX sound – this is a great #film experience.

After seeing many movies there, I was thinking maybe the sound at the #MODS #AutoNation #theater was subpar.

I was wrong.

Ça fait un moment que j'avais envie de refaire les posters de DUNE avec ce jeu de mot pourri qui me parasitait la tête. Voilà encore une utilisation de Photoshop bien productive.
