I have two open positions in my team to work on, among other things, software tools used to track nutrition programs and health campaigns, in Africa mainly.

We are using Django, Postgres, React and AWS, but we are open to good profiles knowing different, but similar, tools. The job is open to remote applicants, in particular from Africa.

Past me did a nice favor to present me a while back. I wanted to submit a DjangoCon US proposal, so I put a note in my calendar. But my note said the CFP closed this past weekend.

I was feeling rushed, and then saw the CFP actually closes *next* weekend. I was relieved, and am now writing my proposal with much less stress. :)

Thinking about an app that tracks a particular process and it feels like a state machine might be useful? I worked on a workflow engine at one point, but it's been a while, so I’m looking at some #Django packages.

Anyone have any experience or opinions about any of them?

I'm also wondering if an actual FSM is overkill for my simple use case, but it might be fun to play with it anyways.

My first account on the fediverse was on mastodon.social and I tried a few others. But then I moved to fosstodon.org mainly because of #Django. Over the last few months I had the feeling that fosstodon.org wasn't a good fit for me anymore. And now that #Django moved away I did the same. mastodon.social in the end seems to have the best variety.
