I've been listening to #CreepyNuts a bit lately, and every time I get to "かつて天才だった俺たちへ" ("Katsute Tensaidatta Oretachie") it slightly freaks me out, even after listening to it dozens of times, because his intonation, vowels and consonants sound 80% like he's some guy from Uppsala, Sweden who never heard Japanese and is just singing the lyrics the way he thinks they should sound from reading the transcription.
Is he actually imitating the style of some Swedish band, or is my brain creating this illusion all on its own? It's only this song, the others sound like a perfectly normal (linguistically), native-speaking Japanese singer and rapper.
