Impegnativo fare una cover di un capolavoro

I'm tidying my office and sorting out my library today. I've got my playlist all sorted ! I might not get through them all but I'll give it a damned good shot!
(Starting with Dave Brubeck "Time Out")
Coltrane was always amazing. Here he is on a very conventional bop date in 1958 with Wilbur Harden. Everyone is playing fine, swinging along, ching-ching-a-ching, then listen to how Coltrane enters for his solo at 3:03. Then how he follows that up with a *completely* different harmonic conception from the rest of the band that’s years ahead of its time. And it works.
I was inspired by a post
Stuck on Rhythm Changes? Here Are 4 Coltrane Concepts That’ll Set You Free
https://www.jazzadvice.com/lessons/how-play-rhythm-changes-like-john-coltrane/
where Eric analysed Coltrane's playing on Oleo with the Miles Davis Quintet.
I started to practice some of the transcibed phrases and I came up with the double bebop scale technique where I use the chromatic runs from both the C and F bebop scales over the rhythm changes A part in Bb.
Thanks Eric.
It's time for these arid, baking, yellowy-orangey-reddish-burnt-black albums, por españa.
If you're not going to listen to these albums in a 34 degree heat, when are you going to?*
*'Never,' you might say, you sassy young jazz haters, you.
