I've re-collected servers' federation status with Threads.
You can view the new updated data on https://fedipact.veganism.social/
@nm interesting my server has limited on it. Hmmm.
@nm Don't hate me, I changed my mind on this subject. Last year I tried Lemmy out. I couldn't interact with a vegan cooking group I wanted to because it was on an instance the admins blocked for being a nasty instance.
Mastodon users can block any user or domain they want to.
There isn't a need for admins to take away their user's freedom by blocking domains/instances for them.
If a Mastodon user doesn't like threads, they can block threads themselves.
No disrespect, just trading ideas.
@beforewisdom @nm Counterpoint: I am currently exercising my freedom by willingly using an instance that blocks Threads. Users are free to go where we want!
Instance blocked, reported.
@nm The most important question! Why blocked instances are in green color and federated in red?!
@nm
Thanks, amazing to see that in fact, most of the servers are very small....
@nm
Hi
"February 7, 2025: Social.coop defederated from Threads.net (changing the Limit setting to Suspend)."
@ideogram social.coop is on the list, listed correctly as 'blocked'
@nm
Oh, I couldn't find it, but thank you
