there is NO mention that 85% of soy crop is used as animal feed. framing soy as a driver of #biodiversity collapse only benefits the meat and dairy industries that ARE driving the biodiversity crisis while perpetuating the harmful myth that soy milk and tofu are destroying the environment.
to be perfectly clear: animal agriculture is going to be the nail in the coffin for wild birds as we know them, especially in south america. between biodiversity loss, zoonotic disease, and massive ghg emissions, you don’t really love #birds if you eat animals. go #vegan.
