When it comes to working-class liberation from capitalism, the ends justify the means.
@Radical_EgoCom I don't really like sayings of this sort tbh. Similarly to other sayings like "no ethical consumption under capitalism," people often seem to interpret their meanings very uncritically, until all that is left is "no accountability." I think it's better to just encourage people to understand that reasonable measures and goals with respect to anticapitalist action will look different depending on your current conditions.
Are you disagreeing with only the saying "the ends justify the means" or the sentiment behind it, in this context being that if an action or series of actions will lead to the working class liberation from capitalism then they are acceptable to employ even if they are considered unethical by society, such as state repression of capitalist and promoters of capitalism by restricting their political rights or instilling legal punishments onto them through fines, jail time, etc?
@Radical_EgoCom I was just expressing a personal dislike of the saying. I wasn't commenting as much on it's actual meaning.
I do have a lot of personal perspectives about that kind of thing, but I don't think I'd be able to reduce it to an agree/disagree, and I don't think that is something I would want to do anyway.
