Out of Control :laravel: 🇨🇦I was looking at using Strongbox, a <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/password" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#password</a> manager app recommendation from Mastodon to replace <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/1Password" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#1Password</a>. Just found out that Strongbox was bought by Applause in March 2025, and Applause is owned by Vista Equity. So, <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/enshittification" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#enshittification</a> of <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/Strongbox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Strongbox</a> is now under way. No thanks. No reason to spend time jumping from one app that is being enshittified by capital greed, just to jump to another one experiencing the same downward spiral.
