stupidgenius
I continue to experience the most exquisite schadenfreude over StackOverflow's plummet into /dev/null. Claudius
Gotta say, with all the very clever gamification that has been put into #StackOverflow itself, this process feels like the exact opposite. It feels borderline hostile every step of the way. And because we know SO can do better, it doesn't feel like "stupidity" or "carelessness", it feels like "we don't want you here, so we're making this aspect of our business miserable for you".

Claudius
... a couple of days later you get an email with a link to their internal platform, (this is where I failed my 5 captchas https://darmstadt.social/@claudius/114774605975131313 ).

You are presented with a JSON file with no explanation whatsoever (I reckon that's fine for the audience), but that json file contains almost nothing.

It you think about the treasure trove of data #StackOverflow clearly keeps about its visitors, there's NOTHING of that in that JSON.

I honestly would have expected better from them :-/

And then ...
