Ross of Ottawa<p>A reduce, reuse, recycle… repair day, as I've sourced a replacement spray handle/wand for our long-used <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/garden" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>garden</span></a> spray tank.</p><p>A whole new tank isn't that expensive really, but I'm glad we were able to just replace the wand rather than get a new tank&amp;hose too. A lot of plastic in that tank, and new ones are no doubt somewhat lighter built. My partner's father got it for her when she graduated college.</p><p>From some web searching, I'm pretty sure pewter has almost no value whatsoever (unless historical), and this even less.</p><p>But it feels weird to throw it in the trash. Affienia<p>Another adjust rather than make. I’ve had this dress since I was about 15, I’m now 43. I’ve made many adjustments to it across the last 10 years or so.</p><p>Made the straps shorter multiple times so only the strap part of a bra shows at the front. I have a couple soft collar neck braces around my place, I need them for migraines, but I also used to wear them on flights because they work better for sleeping than those stupid neck pillows.</p><p>I wash them regularly but they are stained by hair dye and make up. I made “sleeves” for them from shirt sleeves from shirts that are not wearable anymore.</p><p>I don’t know why I didn’t think about doing this years ago. The material from my shirt sleeves is more comfortable than the material used for the brace, and I can somewhat color coordinate. </p><p>It’s less noticeable when it isn’t “medical device white” (I hate the attention it causes- people get confused when I explain it’s from an injury from 13 years ago, United healthcare wouldn’t pay for disc replacements, so here I am still in pain forever.)</p><p><a href="https://zeroes.ca/tags/ReduceReuseRecycle" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ReduceReuseRecycle</span></a></p>
