Looks like granny squares, but knit?

Very cool.

A sock pattern by #knitting #desinger Maryna Charushina from #Ukraine

"Grannycraft Socks"

According to the ravelry pattern page only in Ukrainian, but with chart and video tutorials that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

RavelryGrannycraft Socks pattern by Maryna Charushina The socks are knitted in the round from the cuff to the toe, with a Fair Isle pattern.

Knitting-verse! Let's talk about inclusivity.
I have followed the whole pattern sharing/theft debate and found myself wanting. Wanting of a less moralizing view and one that factors in poverty (inside and outside of the global north). Also perspectives about what can be changed to actually include poor people in this craft.

Is¹ there anyone else out there doing "lace" by interlinking braids of three² yarns instead of two?
Because my brain was to bored by just weaving with two³ bobbins and had the weird thought of "Lace making, but with weaving!" and i could not find anything like that on the net⁴.

1: Or was?
2: Or More.
3: Or rather four, if you do lace you know what i mean.
4: Though i am new to lace making and don't know much terminology to search for.

Spent the weekend getting back into the tapestry work. I am kind of disappointed in the accent/shadow color because it looks a bit weird to me but I’m trying to trust the process. This charming but cursed creature is Yumion, my town’s mascot. I am also posting the reference photo to prove he is real. He used to look even creepier but I’ll save the photo for a later time. #crochet #fiberarts #tapestrycrochet #pixelart #crafting #hobby #mastoart #mascot #yumion

Sometimes I make things because I'm intruiged with the construction. Like this sleeved shawl. I thought it might be a really cool accessory for those chilly office days. Well... Unfortunately, a sleeved shawl works not for me. It feels a bit like a straight jacket and gives me T-Rex Arms.
Ah well, it was totally worth a try.

I told you I temporarily became a mad hatter when I discovered making my own strawhats. :D Here I used a chiffon cloth as a hatband - it's actually a juggling cloth usually used by kids to learn juggling. :-)
This hat was claimed by my aunt for gardening, and I'm glad it has a good home with her.
What is interesting here is that I used a slightly different paper yarn. Most Raffia will be broad and flat, but some are rolled and round and more yarn-like. See second picture for a direct comparison. This will in the end have an impact on your gauge and the size of your project, so it's a good thing to know.

I’m done with 4/6 of the rolags in my supported spindles current project. I’m fascinated by how the singles look and i am super curious how they’ll look when plied. I need a lot more of this kind of experience to understand what roving or rolags become when you actually spin them and how singles look when you combine them. #spinning #Handspinning #FiberArts I stopped counting the days of supported spindle spinning but suffice to say I definitely feel like each day gets easier and better.
