stib<p>Been using <a href="https://aus.social/tags/KDE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>KDE</span></a> Okular as my default pdf reader on <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a>, and just worked out that there's a setting that allows you to specify dark and light colours, meaning you can read pdfs in <a href="https://aus.social/tags/DarkMode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DarkMode</span></a>. No more having to put sunglasses on to read manuals! And you can assign it to a keyboard shortcut, so I've set it to the same as <a href="https://aus.social/tags/DarkReader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DarkReader</span></a> in <a href="https://aus.social/tags/LibreWolf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LibreWolf</span></a>.<br>I love it when Linux Just Works.</p>
Droppie [infosec] 🐨:archlinux: :kde: :firefox_nightly: :thunderbird: :vegan:<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.online/@thunderbird" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>thunderbird</span></a></span> I did the upgrade [via d/l &amp; parallel-install Release into my <code>/opt/thunderbird_release/</code> directory], after ofc backing up my current t/b data. So far i like what i've seen, &amp; applaud the improvements. I do like that it seems i can now uninstall the <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/DarkReader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DarkReader</span></a> AO, given it's now redundant afaict. Unfortunately the <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/QNote" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>QNote</span></a> AO is currently disabled as incompatible, so hopefully its Dev is still around &amp; might update it soon. </p><p>With this version a TB icon has appeared in my KDE Plasma System Tray, but it seems to serve no purpose that i can discern. As i was typing this, i received a new email, but the S/T icon does not give any visual clue of a new unread email, which was the only purpose i thought it might have. Why does it exist? I think i shall manually hide it. </p><p>So far, as far as i can see, 136 continues the UI omission of 128 wrt management of Tab columns. Specifically, afaict, there is still no global way to apply a preferred column arrangement for one Tag, to ALL other Tags; one must tediously do it manually Tag by Tag, which is a PITA. The only columns global tool seems to pertain only to Folders, which is useless for peeps using a Tag not Folder paradigm. </p><p><a href="https://infosec.space/tags/Thunderbird" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Thunderbird</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/Thunderbird136" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Thunderbird136</span></a></p>
