FlorianI'm curious about something. Mostly aimed at fellow fully <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/blind" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#blind</a> candidates but I'd be happy to hear thoughts from others as well. In <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/language" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#language</a> learning, the research shows good results for students immersing themselves into their target language. When exactly to do this is somewhat hotly debated, but I'm curious to what degree the visual component plays into this is a fully blind person were to attempt it. No images, no way to point at things, not QUITE as seamless a way to hover over a word and get its meaning/other information and no real way to learn from, say, tv shows that teach through visuals either, although subtitles CAN at times be a useful tool. Would we do it later? Earlier? Differently than most? I'm curious on your takes. Nick :pirat:<a href="https://gruene.social/@weddige" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@weddige</a> I personally found the comprehensible input approach really game changing for me, tldr: learn a language with ever so slightly more difficult "input". Only research can show if it indeed is that much better than traditionel language learning however the way <a href="https://piraten-partei.social/tags/DreamingSpanish" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DreamingSpanish</a> presents the approach really gave me a fun, rewarding and functional way to learning the language.<a href="https://piraten-partei.social/tags/Duolingo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Duolingo</a> <a href="https://piraten-partei.social/tags/comprehensibleInput" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#comprehensibleInput</a> <a href="https://piraten-partei.social/tags/languageLearning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#languageLearning</a>
