Jörg :fedora:<p>After some trouble with "Read you" I switched to <a href="https://social.tchncs.de/tags/capyreader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>capyreader</span></a> (made by <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@_jocmp" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>_jocmp</span></a></span> ) for reading my RSS feeds (using a self hosted instance of <a href="https://social.tchncs.de/tags/freshrss" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>freshrss</span></a> ). Very nice app 👍<br><a href="https://capyreader.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">capyreader.com/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
jocmp<p>The next version of Capy Reader will reintroduce the "Mark All Read" button to the toolbar.</p><p>The floating action button will still be an option, but I want to free up space for more complex UIs, specifically audio playback which will occupy the same bottom bar area.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/capyreader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>capyreader</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/rss" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>rss</span></a></p>
jocmp<p>An interesting bug (feature?) with the Miniflux Google Reader API. The Miniflux v1 API will toggle bookmarks only, whereas its Google Reader implementation will also sync integrations like Readeck or other read-it-later services.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/capyreader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>capyreader</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/miniflux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>miniflux</span></a></p>
Brambleminster Gollyhatch<p>Nice, I just realized that when I favorite an article in Capy Reader (FOSS RSS reader for Android) that's syncing with my self-hosted Miniflux then the article is automatically saved to my self-hosted Readeck instance and shows up in Eckard (FOSS Android client for Readeck). I mean I've set up Readeck integration in Miniflux but I assumed I'd have to specifically send an article there, not just favorite it (actually never used the feature knowingly). Only noticed because I favorited a lot of trash articles to remember to add them to yet another middleware that filters RSS feeds later, which are now all in my Readeck reading list. Oh well, at least now I know that don't have to explicitly share articles from Capy Reader to Eckard, a single tap is enough.</p><p><a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/readeck" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>readeck</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/miniflux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>miniflux</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/eckard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>eckard</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/capyreader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>capyreader</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/foss" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>foss</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/rss" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>rss</span></a></p>
jocmp<p>One of those "huh, I wouldn't have thought of that otherwise" bugs in Capy. I was using a NOT IN operator with a list of IDs. Turns out that's a hard limit of 999 entries!</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/capyreader" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>capyreader</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/sqlite" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>sqlite</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/androiddev" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>androiddev</span></a></p>
