MCP, Agentic Knowledge Graphs & AI Models: Solving Conversational Analytics
In this free webinar led by ex-Snowflake, Cloudera, and Amazon leaders, we'll unveil how cutting-edge LLMs (GPT 4.5, Sonnet 3.7, Deepseek V3/R1, Gemini 2.5, etc.) are revolutionizing data products.

A message you do not want to see when loading "just data" in your AI / ML framework. Beware!
Description in comments.
Here's my presentation where I explored #tensorflow to make a neural network spatial curve based on an autoencoder.

Is there anyone out there who could use a highly skilled and experienced ML Engineer or Python programmer for a short-term project? The job market is abysmal, so I'm willing to work on the cheap in a contracted role. I'm also interested in actual full time work, if you know of any opportunities.
Please boost for reach.

Impressively, it does this in a sub-2W power draw and in real-time - and Raspberry Pi's got a model zoo for you to browse, as well as tools for adapting your own #TensorFlow or #PyTorch projects.

What would be the optimal (used) GPU for running LLMs and other Tensor / ROCm workload? I'm seeing Nvidia Tesla M10 cards with 32gb VRAM going for about 200€ in ebay. I don't know the differences between the M, P and K series though and if there are any caveats. Any recommendations?

Apple used Google’s chips to train its AI — where does that leave Nvidia? - Nvidia’s shrinking market cap could signal a shift in the generative AI ... - https://cointelegraph.com/news/apple-used-google-chips-train-ai-nvidia #artificialintelligence #marketcapitalization #tensorflow #google #nvidia #apple #gpu #tpu
#AMD Releases #ROCm 6.2 With New Components
ROCm 6.2 is a big update with several new software components, improving the existing #PyTorch and #TensorFlow support, and a variety of other enhancements as AMD works to better compete with #NVIDIA's #CUDA.
ROCm 6.2 also introduces an offline installer to help those running ROCm on systems without an active Internet connection. ROCm 6.2 is also the first release officially supporting #Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

By me for @hackster_io, "Benchmarking TensorFlow and TensorFlow Lite on Raspberry Pi 5." The big take away from these new benchmarks is that the Raspberry Pi 5 has similar performance when using TensorFlow Lite to the Coral TPU, displaying essentially the same inferencing speed as Google's accelerator hardware. #ML #TinyML #AI #TensorFlow #RaspberryPi #CoralTPU https://www.hackster.io/news/benchmarking-tensorflow-and-tensorflow-lite-on-raspberry-pi-5-b9156d58a6a2

The entire #MachineLearning and #DataScience team, including me, just got laid off. :( :( :( :( :(
Anybody out there looking for an ML or software engineer with >30 years total experience and ~20 years in the industry?
I have extensive experience with #Python and #ML frameworks, particularly #TensorFlow, and I've worked on #NLP and #ImageProcessing both in the workplace and in personal open source projects. My resume is available here:
I'd love to work for a #coop or non-profit, if that's a possibility, but I'm open to other options.
If you work in this industry or know someone who does, please boost for reach.
We had a go today at looking through a StackAbuse tutorial on using k-NN, but it was too jargon heavy for our purposes.
One of the students is familiar with #tensorflow and #keras, but none of us know anything much about image classification.

So which kind of bubble is AI? When it pops, will anything useful be left behind, or will it go altogether? To be sure, there's a legion of technologists learning #TensorFlow and #PyTorch. These nominally open source tools are bound, respectively, to Google and Facebook's AI environments:
But if those environments go away, those programming skills become a *lot* less useful. Live, large-scale Big Tech AI projects are *shockingly* expensive to run.

And the source-code is licensed under a homebrewed license cooked up by Meta's lawyers, a license that only glancingly resembles anything from the #OpenSourceDefinition:
Core to Big Tech companies' "open AI" offerings are tools, like Meta's #PyTorch and Google's #TensorFlow. These tools are indeed "open source," licensed under real OSS terms.

Hi folks!
I'm a research software engineer, working on making fun #rstats packages for data analysis - from exploratory data analysis, to statistical modelling, to listing synonyms!
Here are some of my favourite packages I've written:
{visdat}: docs.ropensci.org/visdat
{naniar}: naniar.njtierney.com
{brolgar}: brolgar.njtierney.com
{conmat}: https://njtierney.github.io/conmat/
I currently help maintain the {greta} package for statistical modelling. https://greta-stats.org/ which builds simple and scalable statistical models using #TensorFlow
Follow me for #rstats questions, answers, and ocassional digressions into hiking and discussions on ultralight gear.
