Trevor Burrows<p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/MorningListening" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MorningListening</span></a> is checking out the <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Crusaders" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Crusaders</span></a> early '70s work, never really checked for them beyond the Street Life album, for no reason other than I didn't.</p><p>The <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/SoulPower" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SoulPower</span></a> doc I watched the other night featured them for a performance and reminded me how many staples were in there lineup.</p><p>So am starting with their first album where they dropped the "jazz" from their name: Pass the Plate</p><p>Pure 70s jazz-funk vibes, rhodes-drenched (Joe Sample), all instrumentals.
