Israeli media reported that "Israel’s" current position is limited to a comprehensive deal for the release of all captives.

According to Israeli public broadcaster Kan, citing the prime minister’s office on Tuesday, "Israel" is demanding the release of all 50 captives held in Gaza.

On August 18, a senior Palestinian source told Al Mayadeen that Hamas and the other Palestinian Resistance factions have agreed to the proposal brokered by Egyptian and Qatari mediators.

The agreement stipulates a 1,000-meter withdrawal from the northern and eastern Gaza, excluding al-Shujaiyya and Beit Lahia, as well as a prisoner exchange in which 10 living Israeli captives would be returned in exchange for 140 Palestinians serving life sentences and 60 serving terms of over 15 years.

Moreover, 1,500 Gaza detainees are set to be released. According to the source, in exchange for every body of an Israeli killed, 10 Palestinian bodies will be released.

The source revealed that the proposal stipulates opening the Rafah crossing in both directions, in accordance with the previous agreement.
