Petrus Hilarius
I am starting to take a serious look at the #c64 and #vic20 machines in my collection. I want to get these going again sometime soon. I know about recapping and I have a friend who can do that part for me in trade for some hardware. But where I am currently "blank" is stuff like "how do I even get a picture on an LCD" and "what are good power supplies" and "how do I interact with modern storage" and so on.

I've seen a variety of #SD2IEC solutions for both platforms and there seem to be things like the Kung Fu Cartridge that can emulate fast loader cartridges that work with both regular floppy drives and SD2IEC devices. But it's often unclear which versions of these to buy. For example, are the versions on #tfw8b better than those available elsewhere? How do I even find out?
