parvXtl<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://tech.lgbt/@helianthropy" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>helianthropy</span></a></span> Could you expand on the risk-of-pay-by-phone?</p><p>I use pay-by-phone-via-credit-card in a large part so that any portion of the card number does not appear on the receipt (or in some sale ledger). Yes, I (have to?) use finger-ID to actually pay.</p><p>Lately I am noticing that some applications, perhaps as part of <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/iOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>iOS</span></a> 17, allow to use the phone <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/password" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>password</span></a> instead (of the finger). Oh actually recently finger print would not register at the checkout, so used the phone password. So I suppose there is a choice of (not) using <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/biometrics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>biometrics</span></a>.?</p><p><a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/phoneSecurity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>phoneSecurity</span></a></p>
