IvorA little montage of Monday morning in the N Pennines. It's stopped snowing but the wind has got up even more and fine snow is drifting in off the fields. Max depth is about 200mm, half the depth expected.I think the roads are passable but not going out today. I believe the A66 is still closed from Brough over the highest stretch.Dug a path to the byre and that's far enough. IvorIt's been snowing all day, heavy this pm, less so now. Not the 400m deep that was forecast, maybe 150mm although drifts in the strong wind are deeper.If they could get there, the skiers at Yad Moss, about 4 miles towards Alston from here, must have had an excellent day. Maybe it was 400mm up there.My volunteer walling work day tomorrow in Weardale is cancelled and I have strong doubts about Tuesday. This view is from the north back, accessed via a private track on the Raby Estate with a small fee charged.
