iotar<p>Turns out that the Wavestate is better than the Nord Micro Modular for CS-80isms. Because HP/LP filter combos. In other news: spent all day cleaning a set of Rotring Rapidograph pens I found in a charity shop years ago. Ordered some ink to test them.</p><p>Now I'm making spag bol.</p><p>Note to self: be less goal-orientated.<br><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/CS80" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CS80</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/wavestate" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>wavestate</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/NordMicroModular" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NordMicroModular</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/filters" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>filters</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/rotring" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>rotring</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/rapidograph" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>rapidograph</span></a></p>
iotar<p>As an experiment today I attempted to get the functionality of one 2600 VCO (all four waveforms simultaneously FMing all over the shop) plus filter and ring mod, and it was using about 44% of the Nord's resources, which suggests that it would be pushed to make it simulate a full 2600.</p><p>Sure, it does many other things better, and of course it is considerably smaller.</p><p>Might try a similar experiment with an Axoloti.<br><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/synth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>synth</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/nord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>nord</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/NordMicroModular" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NordMicroModular</span></a> #2600 <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/axoloti" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>axoloti</span></a></p>
iotar<p>Finally noticed that I can use the Sallytron PC as a permanently setup interface for the Nord Micro Modular. Yes, that seems very obvious, but it has taken me months to discover. Might prompt me to reprogram it more often rather than just using standard patches from 5+ years ago.<br><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/synth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>synth</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/studio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>studio</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/nord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>nord</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/NordMicroModular" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NordMicroModular</span></a></p>
