It still supports <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ManifestV2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ManifestV2</a>, but also comes with a built-in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AdBlocker" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#AdBlocker</a>, and third party cookie blocking. Furthermore it still supports <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoNotTrack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DoNotTrack</a> which Firefox is phasing out, so technically it's *more* private, and also MUCH faster!

OR, what plugins do I need to replace the soon-to-be-dead ones?I've got Safari for a backup, but that's got pretty terrible <a href="https://tenforward.social/tags/plugin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#plugin</a> support so I've never really used it as a primary browser.<a href="https://tenforward.social/tags/Firefox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Firefox</a> seems to be enshittifying as fast as they can, <a href="https://tenforward.social/tags/Chrome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Chrome</a> and <a href="https://tenforward.social/tags/Edge" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Edge</a> are both crap from a privacy point of view. All the other <a href="https://tenforward.social/tags/Chromium" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Chromium</a> browsers are based on Chrome and thus also lose the <a href="https://tenforward.social/tags/ManifestV2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ManifestV2</a> support.I don't have millions of plugins I need, but blocking scripts seems a fairly essential feature in the web of 2025 and I don't know what other options there are at the moment...Oh, and if the Safari mention earlier didn't give it away, I'm on an Apple Silicon Mac (and have no intention of moving to Linux ;) )
